Home Price Appreciation Beginning to Slow

The U.S. housing market has experienced excellent price appreciation with values increasing by double digits over the year before. However, as a professional, I must warn sellers that prices are not now appreciating at big levels on a month-over-month basis.
The map below was created using data from CoreLogic’s latest Home Price Index. It reveals that price appreciation is slowing and in some regions is turning toward the negative.. This is not anything with which to be overly concerned. Prices normally slow at this time each year.
